Since the heart is muscle, whatever you'd normally give them for a meal. With the liver, you'll need to watch and see if they are both eating it, so one doesn't develop a dietary insufficiency. They can def. get TOO much vit. A, but they can also suffer problems if they don't have enough. This study is on humans, but gives you and idea what we can develop besides blindness from that:
Vitamin A deficiency also diminishes the ability to fight infections. In countries where children are not immunized, infectious disease like measles have higher fatality rates. As elucidated by Dr. Alfred Sommer, even mild, subclinical deficiency can also be a problem, as it may increase children's risk of developing respiratory and diarrheal infections, decrease growth rate, slow bone development, and decrease likelihood of survival from serious illness. They also get an abundance of B12 from liver, as well as a number of need micronutrients.

how much liver should they be getting each? in ounces. is heart and liver ok for organs? and some gizzards once in awhile? because we don't get that much organs. i might to go the butcher next Saturday and see if they have wing tips and other organs. im getting real mad at my brats. litter box training is sporadic. it was horrible at first so i took everything out and layered with blankets. so they were good, about a week. so i put platforms in, and of course a week or so later poop everywhere. it might have been my fault, because i didn't leave that much in their litter box. but anyway. im back to square one, with everything out, except a hammock up, which they manage to get into who knows how, and blankets covering the floor. its slow going. but going

Success!!!! That's wonderful, at least you know now that they CAN crunch them up As for the liver, a normal chicken liver weighs approx 2 oz, so just use that same amount for other livers. Heart and gizzard are not organs. They are muscle meats, and cannot be fed in place of organ meat, unfortunately. Simply as normal meals. The heart should be fed at least once a week, or you can supplement with a 500gr capsule of taurine, if you can't get them that often. As for the litter box training- I know where you're coming from on that one You might want to try leaving them with the one level for at least two weeks, maybe more, if they are going to backslide. And you might just have to wind up covering all the platforms/floors, too

can they eat turkey bones? from the wings or are those too large?
they just go on the floors and not the platforms. which is maddening.

I give mine turkey neck regularly, but I do have to chop it up for them. The wings are unfortunately too tough, but they can certainly eat the meat from them, and may even chow some of the tip.

ok. is too much heart bad for them? we might go to chinatown and see what is there to get. is just liver fine for the organs. i might be able to get the occasional other thing from the butcher, but it'll be akward asking for lung and other organs i asked and they generally do have wing tips, they were just out when i was there. dang so i'll probably stock up on those they can eat fish right?

No more than once a week for the fish, and the smaller, freshwater fish are the best. Far fewer toxins in the body. And heart twice a week if possible would be ideal. As for asking for the "off- organs", simply tell them you make your own pet food

ok. that'll work i hadn't thought of that. i have 5 male mice that i will feed them when they are old enough. i think someone doesn't like turkey. im assuming that its normal for their poops to change colour for the types of meats they're eating?

i made some soup last night, Belle was like OMG, i don't have to chew. but pebbles wasn't really all about it. i think she did eat it. i gave them soupy this morning as well. i don't think Pebbles ate any, so put a chunk of chicken in, but she didn't go for it. so maybe she did eat some. i got one of my cats to try some. haha. i think she stepped on the plate and got some on her paw, or tried to eat some with her paw well anyway she made a mess and started licking it off, so i took, her and used to scruff n stuff, since she wasn't taking any off my finger.

First, yes, poops change colour AND consistancy depending on what they've eaten Second- are you telling me you were actually able to stuff 'n' scruff your cat???

yes. i don't think she liked it though. for a about 2 hours she was giving me the evil eye. i was actually afraid. someone ate the chicken with the bones, unless they stashed them. i once found a bunch of bones under their litter pan. brats

I've never even thought of trying that with my cats- I value my skin far too much And you likely should be very, very, afraid- they've got memories With the bones, if you just keep giving them bone in meals, they'll both start eating it, as long as it's not too big(thigh, drumstick), or too dense for them.

ok. so just keep giving chicken wings, and they'll eat it pretty much, or ribs parts my cat is declawed. so i don't have to worry about that.
