I tried with chicken and turkey. Like one meal I just added chicken and another meal just turkey. I used chicken and turkey thighs. The meat did not go bad. I did not try offering some on my finger but I will. I made the soup a little thicker last night and they ate more of the chunks. Their last meal I gave them i made even thicker so I will see how much they eat.

You may have moved too fast offering a turkey only meal when so far they're just used to chicken. Try substituting just a couple of chicken piece with the turkey. I know it may seem very similar, but they know the difference.

I only added a little bit turkey and no chicken becuase I didnt have any thawed. They wont eat all of the chunks when it is just chicken either. They will only eat about half.

Was it after the turkey only chunks that they started being picky with the chicken?

No, they started to be picky with the chicken before I added turkey.

So where are they now? Still avoiding the chunks?

Unfortunately yes they are still avoiding the chunks.

Okay, so we need to back up a little. Go back to the soup the way it was before adding chunks.

I stopped adding chunks but since the food processor does not cut up chicken very well there are still some chunks, but not very much.

Do you feel that they're eating enough? Are you warming their soup the way they like it and all that?

Okay. Steady as she goes then. Have you tried feeding each separately away from the other ferts, animals and people? Maybe each would benefit from some quiet alone time with you and some food.

I have not tried fedding them separately. Should I just put it in 3 bowls and put it in different parts of their cage? The dog is by their cage when I feed them (he knows they get yummy food and he gets jealous) and their cage is in the kitchen so people are usually by the cage. Should I try to feed them during floor time? They get floor time in a room where there is no people just the cats but I can kick the cats out.

Can you try taking one at a time into a bathroom or something? There may be too much activity going on at mealtimes for them to feel relaxed. See if they loosen up a bit with a little one-on-one time. Once we get over this hurdle we'll talk about a better way to give them their meals.

Im confused, what hurdle are we trying to get over? They are eating a lot of food. Should I be doing something or adding something to it?
