OK I found this recipe and can't find it again. What do you think about it? Is it a good starter recipe? Never made it before. It has: 1 lb chicken legs 1/2 cp kibble 1 Tbs Ferritone 3 Tbs Nupro (optional) Then you freeze it in ice trays for serving sizes.

You're going to find that every person has a different soupy. There are a lot of them out there including some manufactured ones too. This is mine: You will need a blender/food processor, and the following raw items: 8 oz raw chicken thigh meat (including skin and fat) 1/2 tsp of crushed eggshell powder (take a raw eggshell. Rinse it out. Let it dry. Crush to powder) 1 raw chicken heart 1/2 raw chicken liver You then add either water or broth (real stuff not the bovril stuff) to make it as liquid as you desire. That's mine ciao

That's pretty close to mine as well. When making a cooked version(I don't use this one anymore), I'd simply cook and debone 3 chicken thighs/drumsticks, puree it with the broth, add in a raw heart/liver, along with the eggshell, puree all again, put in ice cube trays, and freeze.

I've used it for that before, too. But I've been fortunate enough(touch wood) not to have to lately.

No, this is a multiple feeding. I freeze it into icecube trays and when frozen pop them out into a plastic bag. I also make mine in 10lbs mixes so this is much smaller than what I usually make up. ciao

I used Heathers Recipe when I was starting out, it's been modified a little for my monster. I use a full tbs of ground egg shell, my little girl needs the extra for a little less watery poops, and i use three hearts mainly b/c i'm paranoid about taurine deficency and since it's really just more muscle meat i don't think it will hurt her. I'm still experimenting with the liver amount. My girl is tiny, so i usually try to keep down to .5 oz per 6 oz of muscle meat, which dances a little under the 10% organ meat ratio.
I had to drop it down to 6 oz from 8, b/c i just make a bowl of it and feed it out over 3 days. 8oz was lasting too long and was getting nasty by day 4 and i was wasting soupy.

Modification is often necessary. That's the nice thing about feeding raw. You can do this. Each individual has different needs, you cover approximately the same thing but the recipes and amounts can be tweaked to cover the needs of the individual. If your little one needs more bone, then you add this, if they need more liver then you add that. ciao
