Hey there! I've been in love with ferrets since i was about 4 years old. I've been thoroughly researching the fuzzies for the past 2 years, waiting until i could get my own. Last week one particularly adorable little fuzzbutt fell into my lap when her owner feared for her safety (the girl's roommate got a lab shepherd mix that was bent on eating her).
And that's how i got Monday
As i found out on FH, thanks to some amazingly nice ferret lovers, She is in fact a Panda (black roan).
She's 10 months old, silly, and sleepy 20 hours a day, and loves to play chasing games. I hope to get her a friend when i move back home, but not until i'm financially comfortable. And i have a lot to do before that (including Monday's vet check up, shots, and ADV test, plus my rat Army has a mammory tumor which will cost a good deal to have removed). She is currently on a kibble diet- her previous owner fed her a Marshall's diet mixed with a Walmart kibble to last longer. So i have a good 3 lbs of that left, but i really want to incorporate raw into her diet. Which is why i'm here
I want to eventually show her, and i've seen what raw diets can do for health, coat, and body build. Plus, she's a bit chunky. Especially in the neck 
As for me, I'm 19 years old, live in Florida with my boyfriend (moving back home to PA in 3 weeks), and am going to school for veterinary. I love art, and animals. I have an account on Deviantart wonderlandsindrome.deviantart.com so feel free to check it out.

Check out the Feeding and Nutrition section of the forum for more on raw feeding. It sounds like it was a good thing that she ended up with you! Marshals kibble and Walmart...*shakes head* worst 2 kibbles ever and she got them both! If you aren't ready to switch to raw now, you should at least try to get her on a better kibble - that switch should be relatively easy and then if switching to raw takes a bit (some are suborn) at least the kibble will be less bad.
