I don't know if this works, but I think you can put the skins into a bucket of salt and bury it for i think it's a week or two and then the salt takes all the moisture out of the skin so it's 'tanned' I as going to try it but I a) don't want to ruin a skin and b)waste salt because i'm really cheap... and if it does't work i'd be so mad.

Oh my goodness, you guys are so cool. Finally I've found people that are as obsessed with their little monster friends as I am.
I was looking for new toys/games I could play with my boys and found this thread.
Sherrylynne-That is SUCH a cute story about your husky!!
Also, I was wondering if these fuzzy ball toys could be sort of practice to see if my boys would be interested in live mice. I'm nervous about having to kill the mice myself if they don't do the job and I have no idea how they would handle it.

These balls are great and Jack loves them as well, just one caution... the inside of the ball is packed with some kind of foam junk. I pull them apart and remove the foam. Jack doesn't seem to mind either way. I keep handfuls of them around and toss them at him to "jump start" play time

I'm thinking it must be a different toy. The ones I had were just rabbit hide with dyed fur. Nothing inside.

I'm quite certain they are the same toy. I thought all they were was rabbit hide too until i pulled one apart. Pet supermarket. $0.99 each. Six different colors.

I got mine from pet supermarket... they were 49 cents though, but it was a grand opening!
