Watson was 6 years old yesterday!!! We got him when Herne was 4. Wow! I cannot believe that tiny little runt has been here for almost 6 years
He was the runt of the litter, and actually looked like he'd been a preemie! He had an immature respiratory system, really poor vision, and needed a TON of TLC. So tiny. And ALL mouth
First time we saw him, he was only 3-4 weeks old. Our husky Sally, was failing fast. We were trying to rouse her around, and the only thing we KNEW would work was a kitten. She absolutely adored them
So- I went to my neighbor who's cat had had kittens, explained the situation to her, and she handed me this tiny mite. She'd been hand feeding him, as his siblings would always push him away from the teats.
As soon as I came in with this squawking little thing, Sally perked right up. Bright eyes, whimpering to get me to bring the kitty over to her. As soon as I did, she started grooming this thing smaller than her tongue  She was in heaven.
Afterwards, I wiped him off with a warm cloth, and dried him(doggie slobber!), and returned him to his mamma.
2 1/2 weeks later, he was the only one of 7 kittens still without a home. So when Jen asked me if we wanted him, of course we said yes :love1:
He had to have his warmed milk both morning and night. And if he didn't get it- he'd literally run everywhere at once, squawking, with this huge mouth I'd swear was bigger than his head somehow,
Once he had it, though, he was a real cuddle bug.
Night time he slept with me. And was he ever jealous of the other animals! Wow
If you can imagine a 7 week old kitten literally chasing an adult amstaff off the bed. He'd just irritate her til she got up and left
I had no option but to sleep on my back. If I tried sleeping on my side(which I prefer), he'd start walking all over me non stop. Across my head, back across the torso, across the hips, back across the legs  As soon as I turned onto my back- he'd curl up in between my arm and body, curl up, and go to sleep
He's about 3 minths old in the first one, approx 4-5 in the next :love1:
