new to ferrets

Hi, everyone !

My name is Lisa from Kansas and I have been looking to add to my herd.
I have 3 Sheltie dogs and 5 cats...along with 2 kids and a hubby.
I was looking for a medium- sized "small" animal that I could add to the mix that would be able to standup to all the other animals....with supervision.

This would be my 1st experience with ferrets..so if anyone has any advise I'd be glad to hear it.

I am still in the research and gathering phase..I have a large cage and litter pan that I picked up from a garage sale for 15 dollars..I checked the stores and that alone would have been almost 100 dollars..pretty good savings I think! I am going to clean it with a bleach spray and let it sit for a while before anything moves in.

Please feel free to prowl, read thread and post questions. Everyone's friendly and more than happy to answer questions. Definitely check into the thread that Luci gave you. There's tons of information in it, it's ongoing at the moment and it's working with the same questions that you will probably have.
Anyway don't be shy, research is the first step and thank you for taking it and not just going out on a whim and buying
