I want to make sure I'm hitting all the right areas -- Adding a fourth I'm having a hard time getting the amounts just right. Sometimes it seems I am wasting a lot, and other times it seems like they're hungry earlier. I usually feed two meals a day - by 'dinner' I try to take out what's in there and put it either in the fridge or freezer, depending on what it is (for example, leftover organs go in the freezer because they don't get it again for another week)
Monday - whole prey
Tuesday - Bone
Wednesday - MM or sometimes whole prey
Thursday - Bone
Friday - MM
Saturday - Organs, then bone or sometimes whole prey
Sunday - Bone in
As for what I give, its mixed up so there's a variety, I don't really have a pattern or anything...
I was worried about their fat content -- a lot of the meats that I get (on sale) at the grocery store don't seem pretty "lean", not that I can really tell I read somewhere that some one leaves lard out for ferrets free choice basically ...
and am I missing anything else? I haven't supplemented much this far, well besides salmon oil. The shed-monster is getting natural hair-ball remedy as a preventative.
Of course, their perky and behavioral wise they are "normal" crazy, and fun loving. They're all at a good weight, good skin & coat (even with Murtagh's crazy shedding! ugh!). One or two of them have been having really dark, somewhat loose stools.
TIA!!

- For whole prey, I have adult mice, hoppers, rabbit pinkies, and occasional chicks... They get the adult mice the most
- Bone - chc, chicken legs, wings, back, rabbit, beef mutton, sardines, turkey necks, duck pieces, sometimes I get lamb or goat from hare today
Muscle - chicken breasts, pork chops (wow can get good sales on those!) chicken hearts & gizzards, beef heart, pork stew meat, beef butt (lol it has a technical term for it, but I prefer beef butt!) - Organs - chicken liver, small pieces of calf liver, occasional ground up beef spleen
