Hi, I am new to the forum, but not to ferrets 
Right now I have one little ferret named Ginny. I lost her friend to a bowel tumor at the beginning of July. I have decided not to get any more ferrets.
Fawkes was my first ferret. Then we got Fred. Fawkes and Fred became fast friends. Then we lost Fawkes to juvenile lymphoma not last March but the one before. We got Ginny to help Fred through his grief.
Fred was diagnosed with insulinoma at the end of June and we lost him 3 weeks later.
Ginny has been doing well. I have a friend with ferrets so we had a few play dates together and I think that helped Ginny - it helped her to realize she was happier alone I think! My friend's ferrets ganged up on her and terrorized her even with careful supervision.
Ginny is somewhere between 2 and 3 years old. We are her 3rd (and final) home. She is a black sable and cute as a button!

I just started my second term as the secretary for our local ferret rescue.

I also have 2 dogs and 2 cats.

I remember sleepless nights crying and praying for a ferret!
So sad about you first two! That's so unfair
