so its spring here in michigan and I have had my windows (in the ferret room) open for the last 2 days and this morning and I brought them outside to play in the dew grass......when we came in they were tired and about to go to sleep when my Mimi had a sneezing attack! she will sneeze like 5 times in a row over and over again and after sometimes she makes an almost sigh dook noise after (it sounds like weird since Ive never heard this sound before, and Im a bit worried)
She has settled down now and I have shut the windows, now Im sure its not far fetched for ferrets to have allergies like any other animal, but do you think this could be the issue, and if anyone deals with ferret allergies, is this sneezing fit normal? shes not acting sick , she just has these sneezing attacks that almost knock her off her feet!
Any opinions??

She also could have gotten something stuck up her nose while she was sniffing around, and it simply irritated her.

I agree....look for a foreign body to start a sneezing fit like that. My guys have done this on a number of occasions. I've seen Fun-Go sneeze so long and hard that he knocked his head off the floor. At that point I felt sorry for the poor little sod and picked him up and promptly got covered with ferret boogers ....problem...dust bunnies, ferrets like snorting them, they should stick with eating bunnies ciao
