So I just gave the musketeers a bath, and it was too funny. They went insane! It was so bad I had to let them out of their cage, because they were tearing their bedding apart trying to dry themselves. Do any of your ferrets go bat%$^* crazy after a bath?

That is standard ferret drying proceedures We had an assembly line going here one time last year. We bathed all 15 ferrets in an afternoon. We just layed towels all over the floor in the bathroom. Unfortunately, someone opened the bathroom door and 4 or 5 of them made a break for it. Before we could catch up with the little sods they were drying themselves in my bed. Oh, and by the way...I have found something more smelly than a wet dog....15 wet ferrets (including 2 poofers) ciao

I had to dunk mine the other day, it was more of a swim than an actual bath. My AC had failed and it got really bad hot in the house. It helped them immensely. Then they went nuts drying themselves in their play area. But due to it being so hot they were dry in a matter of minutes. Never saw a wet ferret dry off so fast was alarming in and of itself.

It is my opinion that it is the standard for ferrets and dogs alike. Koda goes insane after a bath - it is a lot like unleashing a miniature deamon! lol My dogs are the same way too! Try bathing a Great Dane who hates baths, then containing her while you try to dry her when all she wants to do is go crazy....then you finally let her go and Watch Out - "miniature" rampaging elephant on the loose! I love Koda's post-bath reaction. I do think that he goes clinically insane for a few minutes.
