Hi, I just got a 11 wk. old ferret a few days ago. Her name is Leilani. She is so cute and funny. Very hyper. Its been about 11 yrs. since I've had ferrets so I have some catching up to do. Any tips and tricks welcome. Mainly on what kinds of meat is best to give her. I gave her her first taste of baby food meat that she loved but want to know what other meats are best. Attachments:

Hi and welcome to the forum, special welcome and hugs to your new little furbaby, Leilani Please feel free to prowl the site, read through the threads and ask questions. Everyone's friendly and are more than willing to answer your questions. Your little one will eat anything you give to her. Chicken, pork, rabbit, beef....like all babies she will be more than willing to eat anything you will put in front of her. Try starting her on chicken wings or quail pieces. Check out the nutritional section for more information and ask any questions that you need to. There's information on amounts, types and methods used to entice even the most reticent fuzzybutt. I hope that I will be seeing you around and hearing about Leilani's adventures as she grows and thrives ciao

Hi,and welcome to the forum! Your little one will likely take anything you offer her Just stay away from things like ham, sausages, bacon, etc! Anything else you can name as meat is just fine!
