So I have heard people ask a few times what color ferret they have (i.e. cinnamon vs champagne). I know there is a color chart on the American Ferret Association website, but it is so much more fun to look at pics and some pics on the chart are missing. Not to mention there are so many varieties. So, I want to try to get a collection of pictures of all of the different color patterns. Please post pics of your ferrets and what "pattern" they are. Then, someone who whats to compare theirs can just look through the thread and find the pattern(s) most similar to their ferret. It would be fun to have specifics too. Like a point sable, normal sable, black with mitts, Silver, DEW, albino, blue eyed black, whatever other crazy colors there are...I think I made a few up. Anyhow, post away! Please post the name, gender, and color of the ferret Thanks! Here is the AFA chart www.ferret.org/events/colors/colorchart.html

Ok, let's see what I might have stashed around the house How about 3 hooded chocolates (Napoleon, Ghenghis and Thor) 2 masked sables (Mad Max and Loki rip) and a ferret in a Christmas treeee (no seriously ) One conceited DEW (Mr. Fun-Go B. Squiggly) One slightly marked DEW (I'm sure that Lady "B" would be totally offended)...she decided this winter to become a DEW She was a marked DEW when she first came to the shelter One chocolate Panda (a visitor to the fold) One mitted cinnamon colour, who is deciding this winter to become a sable (Captain Jack aka Jack-Jack) A mitted blaze, was cinnamon in colour but became a sable (Attila rip) A silver Panda with mitts, later to become a silver blaze and finally settling on being a DEW (he'd heard that DEW's have more fun, Porthos rip) and lastly was a Mutt...at least that's what they told me his colouring was. He had little white toes, a ringed tail, spotted belly, a blaze, a beautiful flash on his chest, his guard hair was black and long, his undercoat was white (Aremis rip). One of these days I will have to get a decent photo of Odin, my albino but he looks odd in the photos because of his red eyes. The rest of my guys and gals are different coloured sables with a variety of hoods and masks.
