Snickers is now a only ferret , and I cannot find anything besides plastic bags (only supervised) that he loves to play with, any auggestions? He is getting fat, and I know he needs some enrichment. He used to play all day with Taccato and Treeble, but now he doesnt have anyone to rool around with, so he is getting lazy and overweight. Any suggestions that I should try?

Try prowling through this site, there are tons of awesome ideas, from games of tobogganing on towels to swimming in the litter box. Each little enjoys slightly different toys and when they're single furbabies they require lots of different types of toys. It doesn't have to be expensive, simple dryer hoses offer tunnels, various dig boxes (rice, sand, paper, plastic balls) the list is endless. All you have to do is use your imagination ciao

Mine all go crazy for cat teaser toys. They not only get to play with mom, but play chase with a toy, too.

My girls favorite toy is a bunch of cardboard boxes with holes cut in them. I tape them together and make a maze of sorts for them to run around and hide in.

With the cardboard box maze, you can also hide treats in there for him to dig out. One other thing I just remembered was from natural ferrets. Can you get one of those childrens wooden puzzles? The kind where they have to fit the shape to the hole(usually animal or car shapes). Each puzzle piece has a small handle on the back. Anyway- the person would hide a treat under every puzzle piece for a while, then leave one w/o a treat, then two, etc., until the puzzle only had one treat hidden in it. I guess her ferrets had a blast finding the single treat, because all the pieces smelled like treat!

I would be interested in how she put the treats under the puzzle pieces? They would not sit in the puzzle board with something under them...

small flat peices of jerky. And they don't have to sit flat. The ferret isn't going to care
