ohh well I'll ask about the sweet potato, I always followed the squash family for their gi tracks...but that may work as well, let me find out (the only reason I question it is because potatoes have alot of carbs and starches that they usually cannot break down, but sweet potato may be different) Slow is better than nothing! dont worry it took my guys 6 months to switch!!! they were VERY slow You just have to keep adding stuff very slow and get them use to it....dont worry slowly but surely they will take to raw! If you feel like your in a rut, let me know and we can try some different strategies even if its for 1 or 3 of them, some ferts learn with different methods (i.e. I did the raw soup mixed in with kibble for 2, and my other I did kibble breaded very small chunks)

Alright no sweet potato. I don't remember where I heard it was good or maybe I just made it up in my mind! So today, I gave a bowl of straight chicken baby food, plus some dry ziwi peak, with some of it mixed in the baby food and the rest dry, with a little fish oil in it. Noah, as always, has no problem with baby food. Murphy actually took some of the ziwi peak and ate it. Hammy is eating a little of the baby food. Athena grabbed a little of it. The rest are too busy playing. I put the raw soup out for them also. Most are sniffing and checking it out, no takers that I have seen yet. Hammy seems very interested in the actual bowl. So mental thought here. My boys are getting fat and furry! This is going to be my first winter with them so it is fun to see the changes that they are going through!!!! Plus Murphy is doing so well!

No problem, I thought I would say something in case you didnt know....but you can supplement anything in the squash family (I usually recommend pumpkin) in place of the sweet potato in case Noah liked it alot. (it helps firm their poops too during the switch, because until they are eating bone poop can sometimes be runny) I love winter coats, they are so gorgeous!!! although my guys kinda have their seasons mixed up so sometimes I get the thick coats in the summer haha

Just popping in. Nothing new. Been busy and haven't been able to focus on it completely. Plus I have heard back from the fosters orignal owner and they are now mine and so I am in the process of looking for a new home for Noah, Princess and Diamond (getting her on Friday). I think I have a home for Diamond already, but until it happens we will see.

Ok, first things first! Noah and Princess are doing wonderful in their new home! Crystal's son loves Noah and she thinks that Princess is too cute. Plus they are getting along with Jayla wonderfully too and after they saw my FN, they have decided to get one of their own! Moving on I fed some EVO canned cat to the ferrets today, plus I put a few S&C crunches in it. Hammy and Athena ate some of it, plus Athena took a crunch and ate that! I gave some to Murphy, Ollie, Koda, and Diamond. I had to scruff them to get them to try it. Diamond actually ate the rest off my finger, but then did the whole rubbing the face on the carpet thing! Murphy and Ollie, did so-so. Koda was his usual pretty boy and thought I was trying to kill him...... Boys..... Another note..... Diamond was being fed Marshall, and boy, she smelled like it. Her coat is coarse, but body weight seems good and activity is an 8 or 9. She is under a year, so she is young and I am hoping that she takes to it after a few more tries. She still is so happy just to get out of the cage. Apparently she did not get out a lot, so she has a ton of energy to burn out still! Diamond

Well she is cute, she will fit in and start to take to the new food as well with time.
My babies always rub their faces in the carpet after they eat their soup, it is quite funny!
Thats good they all somewhat ate it, now put in a little more s&c and a little less canned evo are you still feeding kibble at all or do u mix between that and canned?

They still get kibble daily. Plus I put some ziwi peak or S&C in there with it daily. I put some Wysong Ferret in their dish today and Murphy actually went and took some and ate it! I was not expecting that from him. I put the canned EVO back out after remixing it with some water, if there are no takers, then I will toss it soon. I am down to EVO ferret, Orijen cat, and Blue Wilderness cat kibbles. Once the blue wilderness is gone, I wont get any more(that can with the fosters anyways). So I have reduced all the different kinds of kibble I was feeding. For awhile there, I didn't offer the raw really at all, I was so busy and it was all I could do to let the kids out to play and clean their cage. But it has settled down some so I am back to it. I think I want to make a dish with some of the dried ziwi peak, S&C, and Wysong in it. Offer like 3 different dishes and see if anybody takes some. I will let you know what happens!

So instead of different dishes, I just used a big one. I put Ziwi peak, S&C crunches, S&C lamb disk (just a little), and some Wysong turkey kisses. Athena really like the dry stuff and Hammy was very curious about the smell, so was Koda. Athena ate the most. I'll leave it out and see what happens.
