So everyone is eating raw right now, except when Koda has the option he goes for the kibble mix right? if this is the case thats ok for now everyone said it just takes time for them to get outa the liking of kibble (especially if its left out for someone else) so we'll just have to watch him and figure out what he likes (raw) and maybe feed more of that for a while to see if he eats that and doesnt go for Ollies kibble. If hes only eating kibble then maybe (if you have the time) feed him seperately from the rest (at the same time but in a different area), people use storage containers and place ferret(s) in it and feed them while they are in there....this may help him out to "force" him a bit to give raw a chance....let me know what you think, if its not possible we can go another route

Just wanted to check in.... Hows Koda's progress? Has he been eating any raw alone yet? and have you tried to separate him from the others during feeding, and if so how did he respond?

I did and he just looked at me like I was crazy. I have tried a couple of times and he sniffs it then tries to escape. He is being very stubborn. I even scruffed him and put a tiny pc in his mouth. He pfft'ed ::)it out and looked at me like I was from Mars! He truly seems to want nothing to do with it. Which is weird since he is one of my youngest, but everybody's different. I am only down to EVO kibble. and I am using more raw than kibble on their bowl.

Everyone eat raw right? (except for Ollie obviously, and Koda) right?
I would say if hes not feeling it, mix some raw (a very small amount) in some soup and start feeding it to him and we'll see if we can get him on board that way

I can try that.
Ollie passed away this morning. I believe he had a stroke last night. He had a head tilt and was just turning around in circles. I will miss him.

Ok, I have HUGE news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Koda ate some S&C's on HIS OWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally out of the blue, I had some broken up patties on a small plate for the kids and he went over, grabbed a piece and starting eating it.
I think he knew that mommy needed something positive after losing Ollie.

Thats great!!! Im so happy to hear this, I guess it wont be as hard as we thought to switch him!
So just keep mixing raw and kibble and we will up the raw and decrease the kibble gradually

I give the ferrets two dishes now. One has a kibble/ raw mix and the other is raw. I no longer shred the patties, I just break them up into smaller pieces. So far so good. I have seen Koda eat some of the raw, so we are definitely moving forward.

Ok good, just slowly begin to lessen the kibble everyday and Koda will begin to eat more and more meat hopefully!

Koda is doing ok. He will grab some raw here and there. Everyone else is doing fine. I was cleaning the cage (major cleaning, rearranging hammocks and such) and found somebodies stash of raw and toys! LOL At this point, I am still feeding them the raw and the EVO kibble. I think that I am not going to push it any further. I am happy that I have the kids eating both, and that most of them will eat the soups. So at this point I am stepping back from trying to completely switch them over. I will still be working at it, but money is tight and sometimes all I have is the kibble. I have learned so much from this forum and will still be on here-prowling and asking questions when I need to. I have come a long way from when I started. I have them on EVO ferrets Kibble only, Raw commercial, soups, and Salmon Oil. Before they were on several different types of kibble and ferretone and I couldn't get them to eat soups. They are eating so much healthier right now then they were before! Thanks so much for helping me get to this point. So have a Merry Christmas and thanks so much Cristina for all your help.
