Hello all, and greetings from the currently not very sunny Sunshine State! I'm 18 and live with my mom, who've I've gotten addicted to ferrets once again. She used to have a ferret in her 20s and hadn't had one since. I brought the addiction back to life and we now have four little furry babies running our lives along with two cats. Here we have Gin- Tonic (DEW) and Captain Jack- (Sable)- And Lord Sieg(EDIT: Mom decided she no longer liked the name Sieg so he is now Lord Hennesy) As you can see (and may have read in my thread in the Medical board) Lord Sieg has quite the belly on him from a very large spleen. No worries though, Wednesday he gets all fixed up by our fabulous vet, Dr. Hess. I plan to try to move them to an at least 1/2 meat based/raw diet, starting with some 'duck' soup. Lord Sieg and Gin have taken to it, at least, but both will not eat pieces of chicken yet. Jack and Tonic just will not try the soup yet, we have fingers crossed though and continue our efforts.

Hey there, I'm in Fl too! Dr Hess....is he with Winter Park Vet Clinic? The name sounds familiar... Good luck with your transition to raw, it makes such a big difference in the Fuzz's bodies!

Yeah, that's where we are taking them now! We used to go to Altamonte Animal with Dr.Heart and... Oh, I forgot the exotics Dr name. Well, they no longer have anyone who works on ferrets, so we moved to Winter Park Vet Clinic after a number of recommendations. It's almost double the office visit fee, but it's a good deal closer and so worth it. I absolutely love the staff there.

Hi and welcome on board Your little furbabies are adorable. It's great to be able to put a furface on a furbaby Please feel free to prowl around check out the various threads, pay particular heed to the nutritional section. Ask questions, they're a wonderful group of people here with tons of knowledge to share. If you feel you need assistance with getting your little ones to move to eating raw, please check out the mentoring section and fill out the questionaire. If you're stuck, look through the various threads within the mentoring section (they're open for all to see, you just can't post to them) and see if your solution might have already been discussed between student and mentor. Most of all have fun ciao
