We added our two boys to the family 1/23/2010, and I discussed going raw with my hunny 1/25. After some discussion and telling him all the benefits (this is his first time with ferrets) of going raw we decided to see how they like it. I tried offering a small piece of raw chicken with little success last night. They sniffed it and licked it, but no real interest. So tonight I tried something different... I put some raw chicken and their kibble in the Magic Bullet we don't use. Added some water, and mixed it up to his paste like mix. THEY LIKE IT! Those little buggers were trying to climb over each other to get to it! Yay! So now I guess I'll be mixing that up for them, with less and less kibble, until it's just the raw chicken. I can't wait to have them on a full raw diet!! Scamp could use a little whitening up. SO glad they decided to try it and like it! <3 Just had to share!

Woo Hoo! That is awesome news.
(never thought about a magic bullet - I saw one at the thrift store for $5 the other day)

I loved our magic bullet--until it broke.

Haha! The Magic Bullet is perfect! We got it one year for Christmas, but don't use it. And the cups come with little screw on lids, so I can make up a batch of this transitory food and store the rest for the next meal. (Which they keep scarfing down!) Just had to make it more soupy than pastey and they devour it in seconds it seems!
