Anything I should know about pork feet? I'd never seen them before at Wal-Mart and they were dirt cheap so I grabbed a package. They seem to be the lower part of the leg, split in half, with the hoof still attached... that is, pretty ugly Looks like mostly bone, but the boys seem to enjoy gnawing on stuff like that. We also just cut up three pounds of beef kidney... I don't know why I was surprised it smelled the way it did.

If your guys like chewing on them...let them go for it. Most raw feeders shun them for feeding their dogs (that doesn't mean that they're bad for your ferts) because they're fatty (ferrets need this fat to a degree) and they're a very solid weight bearing bone (broken teeth). Ferrets don't chew up a bone like a dog, so if they have fun chewing away on the bone, I'd say let them. Just remember that the marrow in those legs will be very rich and may cause some loose stools ciao
