I got some beef heart for the weasels. They have never had any heart before. I put a bowl in for them and so far I have only seen Rolo lick it, I'm not sure if she ate any and Edgar did eat it. Mr. Bean could have eaten some while I was sleeping but they shrank a little bit. It did look like there was less in the bowl.
So yea I'm just wondering if yours will touch it fresh not pureed.

Zoe loves her beef heart chunks, and she likes chicken hearts too - they are just harder to find!

Mine aren't as big after the beef heart as they used to be. Since the flavour would be stronger for them than the chicken hearts, I don't think they like it as much. They do eat chicken heart twice a week, though.

mine wont touch it unless it has been pureed with half heart and half meat. Same thing with their organs but it makes my life easier because I can prepare the puree ahead of time.

Koda Loves chicken hearts, but I noticed that when I was feeding him Beef heart (he got some for a few days in a row) he started to smell bad... I think maybe it was not as fresh as I thought?

If it was bad, he wouldn't have eaten it, and believe me- you would have known by the smell. There is no mistaking that one

I don't think it was bad when I put it in there, just not very fresh. It went bad a LOT quicker than it usually does in his cage, and it smelled TERRIBLE. I took a whiff and almost threw up. Then shortly after my toilet went berserk and overflowed everywhere. Did I mention that I have OCD and am a germophobe? hahaha It was a bad night. Koda definitely smelled fine one day, terrible the next, and then fine the next day after I took out the heart.

Yea. I've noticed that beef heart goes rancid really quickly for some reason. Not sure why though. It sure does stink though!

I feed my boys whole chicken or duck hearts twice a week. Then they also get cubes of pork heart at least once a week. It took me a while to get them used to eating chunks of heart but it's a lot better this way. I can just portion heart meat into sandwich bags accordingly and throw them into the food bowl when it comes time to feed them.

Beef heart and pork heart are their favorite meals!!! I slice/cube it and it's finished in a few hours!
