Shes a cutie. I have a 4 1/2 year old girl myself. I don't see another hide in there does she only have one? They need 2, one on the hot side and one on the cool side so they can choose where to go. Cleo goes in each hide often. Also she should have something rough in there like a half log or stick mounted to a stale stone to help her shed. Here is my Cleo and her setup, she lives on coconut husk which retains the humidity very nice

Thanx Oh ok I didn't see it, must be hiding lol. You might want to think about giving all your snakes something rough like I mentioned to help them shed though. The plastic hide, water dish or cereal box isn't rough enough.

It's funny because the other two Balls have rock hides and are the ones that have shedding problems sometimes (I've had humidity issues because my house is stupidly dry), whereas Paz has never had a shed issue since she was a hatchling and she's 2.5y.o now. lol
I do plan on adding more bling to all their enclosures but the next expo isn't until Feb. 23 and the petstore's prices on any sort of decor is ridiculous.

That is funny. Are the rock hides made of resin like material? It still might not be quite rough enough. But then again it may just be a humidity problem. Are you using newspaper with all of them? I used newspaper for Cleo at first but even when I made it thick it still got too hot and burned her lil belly (no blistering it just got pink). I absolutely love the coconut husk bedding. It is highly economical. You can reuse it over and over again. All you have to do is pour boiling water over it, let it sit until it cools down enough for you to touch and then you squeeze out the excess moisture. 1 brick is enough for a 40 gallon tank (7-8 liters substrate) and it comes in a value pack with 3 bricks for only $7.48. Can you order stuff on-line? You could probably find some affordable half logs. If you got those and switched your substrate. I found the newspaper made Cleo's enclosure to dry. Just some tips for ya that worked for me.

It varies from Paper towel to newspaper.
The only reason I don't use loose substrate is because they ALWAYS get mouthfuls of it when eating and it seems like no matter what I do, they'll still get buttloads in their mouthes. They also refuse to eat in a separate bin. I get really paranoid that they're swallowing so many chips even when I've put down newspaper. They drag it off and roll it around the enclosure.
I've actually wanted to try Reptile bark because it's reusable as well but I'll give coconut husk bedding a go too.
As for half-logs... my Olga, she snapped two of those in half. She is a freaking beast. LOL
When that Reptile expo comes, I'll definitely be looking for lots of cage decor.

Yea I used to feed Cleo in the tank but she got a mouthful and freaked out, it was bad. If yours get hungry enough they *should* be able to eat in a box if the room is dark and quiet. I don't know about other snakes but BP's can go 6 months without food and suffer no ill effects. Cleo took to her feeding box easily.

My oldest male went for the full 6 months with no food. It was agony.
He's eating not but only in his enclosure.
