I bought a pork stomach at my local grocery the other day thinking it might be a good thing to try on the ferrets, I just wanted to get opinions here on it before giving it to them. Has anyone had any experience with this before? Thank you in advance. <3

I'm afraid that if it was purchased at a grocery store, it probably has little nutritional value (think tripe). As health codes require the stomachs to be bleached out and cooked, I'm going to guess that it's the same as the tripe and that it's awesome for your furkids to chew on but not having much nutritional value. I've known people to feed it to dogs who need to loose weight but are having great difficulty on the amounts they need to eat to do so. I know up here that is the only way that these can be sold in a grocery. We have to negotiate with the abatoire or have a specific supplier to get these type of "delicacies" delivered as they usually don't exactly come up to the health dept code for human consumption Ciao

Okay, so maybe it can be used as a treat but nothing else. I'm sure Izzie and Riley will go for it, those little guys will eat anything
