I have noticed that Koda has been growing like a weed! He has only been home a week or two and has already grown a bunch! I have also noticed that his coat has definitely become much darker (Yaaaay!!!! I KNEW he was perfect! ;D). What changes did you guys notice in your ferrets' coat colors when you switched? (Pics and descriptions are nice! ) I know there is a before and after thread, so sorry for starting a new similar one, but I am curious to see before and after colors specifically. It would be very interesting also to see before and after Winter vs Summer. Like is your baby's raw winter coat darker that their kibble coat but their raw summer coat lighter than their kibble summer coat, or are both darker or both the same...? Sorry if I am rambling, I hope I am making sense! haha

Mine just have the softest fur! It's fluffy but still has oil in it. Can't get a pic in now but I will later! Coats were complimented by our vets after they were all switched on raw!

Lol in the second to last pic, his teeth look so weird! A few of mine have "fangs" but they're sharp, his look so dull!

Chewey has been on raw for a couple of weeks now. i've noticed his coat seems fuller, it is def. softer and it is also a lot darker. however it could be darker because its the winter, but im not sure?

Tesla DEFINITELY showed a dramatic coat quality change. I don't think he got darker or lighter, but I do know it got much, much shinier and softer! I always get compliments about how he doesn't smell like other ferrets and how soft his fur is.

Yes, I have seen that thread and enjoyed it a lot. I guess I didn't phrase my questions very well. It is confusing to explain. lol I am curious about seasonal coat color changes and differences between the two (on raw). i.e. "Ferret" was on kibble and his summer coat color was a tan color, his winter coat a light brown. Then on raw his summer coat became a nice medium brown, and his winter coat was very dark rich brown. Thus, his summer and winter coats both got darker. But if instead his summer raw coat was beige, then his summer coat got lighter and his winter darker... So I guess when you changed to raw, how did each seasonal coat change? Did their summer and winter coats both get darker on raw, only one, did one get darker and one lighter? etc Am I phrasing my question okay? lol

I get what you are saying(I think!). And while my ferrets coats got softer and lusher, I don't think they really underwent any real colour changes from before. With the softer coat, it seems to catch the light more, and the colour can appear richer in certain lights, but that's all.

Zoe darkened up a good bit as she got older and her diet was switched. When we first got her, her back was a nice creamy color, and now the guard hairs are all dark and stuff.
