Bear was my little nut case. He was always doing random things and he was a crack up to watch. He was always friendly and cute. When he did something bad he put on the cutest face and looked up at me with the big brown eyes as if he were saying 'I didn't do it mom!' then he would run away. I would have liked to see him go because of old age instead of a viral infection where he was in pain and always looked miserable. His brother Whitee will miss him a lot as well. He didn't get any closure. His brother's body stayed at the vet because we didn't want anyone else getting the disease. I feel bad because his last few days were spent without his friend by his side to prevent infection in him. He was a great little ferret and he will be missed greatly. R.I.P. Bear <3

I'm so sorry for you loss of Bear. You did everything you could for him. He sounds like a wonderful little guy. May you soon remember him with smiles instead of tears.
Little Bear, dance on. You will be missed.

Poor sweet Bear. You are a good ferret mamma, and I know that Bear knew this! And I also know that you'll get Whitey through his grief at losing his best buddy. We never know how long we'll have our little friends. No matter the time they are with us, it's never long enough. And to lose one so young is so unfair. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

It is always difficult to read of the passing of our little furfriends. Bear's passing is heartbreaking to read, his and your fight for his life.....you fought so hard. I have lit his travelling candle, which will burn bright to light his way, as this candle burns down look to the sky as Bear's star will be burning bright for all to see. Run free little one, for now you once again are healthy and whole, your little body no longer betrayed by the disease that claimed you. You now bounce and dook and play crazy war dances with the many who have travelled this path before you. Now as you drift off to rest you will dream sweet dreams of times and loves you have left behind knowing deep in your little heart that you will once again be held in loving arms. Look for your little Bear when you least expect him. You will find him in the whispering wind as it plays in fallen leaves, around a corner, in a shadow. Close your eyes, to feel a whisker brush your cheek when you feel most alone, but most of all look deep in the eyes of Whitey who keeps Bear closest to his heart. Goodbye sweet little Bear.... ciao

Thank you for your kind words. Here is Bear. I thought you might want to see what he looked like. I don't really know why I thought that but oh well.

He was such a sweet looking boy. Thank you for posting his farewell picture. It's really nice to know what these furkids look like.

Never feel bad about posting a memorial pic. It's a beautiful pic of a wonderful little fellow. It adds a furry face to a gentle thought. I hope that you and Whitey are finding quiet, healing times together. That sweet little face would never have wanted to cause either of you grief. Revel in his memories and know that he lives in both of your hearts. Physical pictures help heal wounds and keep those beautiful fun filled memories alive A healing candle is lit for both you and Whitey. ciao
