What happens when.. You get 18 inches of snow.. And the people residing in your city are only used to 1-2?! This is one thing that happens.. To a neighbor just trying to get up their driveway.. Their lovely Ford Expidition takes a corner nosedive into snow.. Stuck until the snow melts, as no wrecker or tow truck can get up here to pull it out.. Question is, will it flip once the snow melts? Only time will tell. When someone tries going up a small incline in a car.. Though, they did eventually make it up.. But I heard squeeling and spinning tires once they got near the top, and I'm not sure what the outcome was. My dad and I got called out to do some snow blowing.. And I thought we were going to die. We took an (I think '06) Ford Ranger.. And the 4wd kept disingaging.. And we were spinning and sliding all over the place. But then we realized the 4wd would have done us no good, as we watched a huge 4wd 4 door brand new Dodge go part way up our hill and slide sideways into a ditch.. The guy got the back of it stuck in a bank and Dad and I tried for awhile and with the help of another guy we were able to push him out while his tires were spinning. So in the end we had to park the truck and walk home.. The city prefers scraping the streets of the fancy high end neighborhoods first, so for now, we have some hazardous icey roads infront of and around our house. SNOW MUTTS! -~Ketlin

omg, thats horrible! i love snow, but i would not want to drive in it!
can the ford explorer put some weights on the back bumper to entice the car to drop back down to the road when the snow melts instead of flipping? id be PISSED if that was my car.

expedition* sorry.
were you abkle to get your ranger back? a ford ranger seems like a small truck to take out in a snow storm.

They got the expedition out somehow, But I'm not sure how.. I hate that I wasn't there to see it.
We did get the Ranger back, after they finally plowed our street. We would have taken the F250 out instead of the Ranger, but we didn't want to chance wrecking it.. Especially since it doesn't actually belong to us.

That is exactly why I love my snow tires Dumps like that aren't all that uncommon here, so the winter tires go on in October, and don't come off til May! I cannot count the number of times I've seen cars in the ditch on my way to and from work.

I agree with Sherry, snow tires are really a good investment in the northern states/Canada! Granted, they're really noisy, but worth it! I love how in places like Texas, they get 1-2 inches of snow and there's several accidents and fatalities while we can have several feet of snow with no severe accidents for a few days at a time. It's funny how people adapt to different things like that.
