My two do that. Hocus drags pocus and makes him squeal from time to time. They're kits so they naturally play rough. Time outs work, as well as scruffing and looking them in the face saying a firm "No". I noticed hocus gets calm whem I hold him close to me. As long as there is no blood or poop coming out when their rough plays occur. Maybe letting them sniff one another through seperate cages?

Honestly, ferrets have to work out a "pecking order" the longer you interfear the longer it will take. As long as there is no blood or poop, let them "work it out" on their own. In the event that things get serious, use a book or a piece of cardboard to break it up. DO NOT just stick your hand i between them (you will get bitten, HARD, and on accident). Ferrets take a bit to adjust to each other. Some dont ever adjust. I think Murdoc and your new addition CAN get along, you just need to give them time. What is your little one's name by the way? Congrats! on the new addition!
