Howdy all,
As you may all know, I curently have five weasle heads that get into EVERYTHING. I thought my ferret room was big, but with the addition of a 20ft tunnel It got realy small. I sat down in the room with them. I got out some paper and tried to keep my pens away from miss lelloo, and brain stormed. What I came up with is a BIG project that will take a few months to eventualy finish.
So...I figured I would make a thread about re designing my ferret room over the next three months or so.

I want to show you guys what my ferret room acualy looks like right now. I took some videos of siting in it watching the ferrets play. Disclamer- The litter box is only nasty because I had poored water from the water bowl into it in order to clean the water bowl without having to get up. I am lazy I know. s218.photobucket.com/albums/cc247/AsriaNightingale/?action=view¤t=Picture511-1.flvThis is a video of Jack, Albino, and Dakota, Silver? playing. You also get a shot of Monster, Sable, and Simba, dog looking at each other, and than the window. Simba was not growling. He always lifts his lip in order to open his mouth. It is realy strange, but it is just him. He likes to play with the ferrets and open his mouth at them like the usual dog play but has never bit, or growled at them. He gets beat up by a kitten everyday. s218.photobucket.com/albums/cc247/AsriaNightingale/?action=view¤t=Picture511-1.flvThis is just a training video i made. I got bored and so i decided to see if i can't get some training in. Lelloo was the only ferret that had been truely into it, and even showed off a very lazy roll over.

Okay. Here are my ideas and plans for the remodel of the ferret room. The reason why they may take a while is due to poor pay and any upcoming issues. 1. My first thing I am going to do is to make a ferret walk way. I know doing this first seems realy dumb, but I would like to get this up and fuctinal to see what colors, and what ever else I want to do latter. 2. My second thing is to Paint. I want big bright colors, and ferrets running along the wall. My inspiration is the guy that built his house for his cats. He has like neon colors. 3. Replace my floor. I am thinking of replacing it with the stick on squares, but I am not sure still. I like the idea to the point of...It's going to be cold in the morning when I wake up and throw my feet over my bed onto the floor. 4. This idea is no idea. I just made a fourth thing incase I think of something I want to do afterward. My one thing that is holding me back is the thought that I am nineteen, In college, and working. How long am i going to stay home, and is it worth investing money for a room that I won't be in too long? Let me know what you guys think of that topic. I am planing to stay here for.. a good 2-3 years.

Are you renting or do you own the place? If you're renting you might want to check with your landlord before you rip up floors and paint ferrets on the walls.

As a college student myself, I would say that if you're still living at home with your parents, go all-in. I live four hours away, but if I'm visiting for more than overnight, all four-legged critters come with me (except the hedgehog--she just wants to run on her wheel). This Christmas will be very stressful, because I don't have a space set-up for Muddy yet. So, if you are at your parents, plan to visit a lot even after you move out, and they're ok with it, go all out.
