My dad and brother have killed some deer lately and was wondering if I could give some to lexie? Please answer asap.

I'd freeze it for a couple weeks at least, first. Just in case there are any parasites. Two to four weeks in the deep freeze will take care of anything like that.

I agree with Sherrylynne, I have deer meat as well and generally freeze it for about three weeks prior to feeding, just to be safe. It is easier to cut it into feeding sized chunks before freezing though.
