I picked up a package of beef neck bones, just because the price was right. Obviously they're not going to be able to get through the bones themselves, but is it safe enough to let them work all the meat off on their own, without potentially chipping teeth?

I'm thinking it should be. The bones would be too large for them to get their mouths around anyway. Just keep an eye, see if you have one with rather grandiose ideas about his/her abilities

That was my thought too. We'll give it a go tonight.

As a follow-up... the beef neck is a pretty big hit. It's a real pain to cut up (find the spots between the vertebrae and start working) but they seem to really enjoy it. I've been leaving the biggest chunks in with them and they'll gnaw on it for days. If you've got kids that are good with bone, try it out!
