Hmmmm....I dunno about that Yucca powder. There are tons of freeze-dried treats on the market, so I think for now I would avoid this meat mix and go for one that doesnt contain yucca powder. Im not sure if that is okay for ferrets, and with all the other options out there, why risk it? Although thanks for bringing up a new idea for a treat! Keep doing that, who knows, maybe we'll find a new, neat treat.

Yeah, I thought it might work as a treat or something for when you travel for a few days. It would work well since you wouldn't really need to measure or anything.
Ah well.

I suspect that as a treat, this product would probably be fine - yucca powder is in several ferret foods (kibble) , so its probably not an issue.

Yucca is used as a natural antiinflammatory, a joint lubricant/repair nutrient for people, which doesn't always mean it works the same for ferrets, they may be using it as some sort of binder for the calcium carbonate? Considering these are actual pieces of meats that have been freeze dried and aren't proceesed and formed kibbles, I'd venture a guess that the amount of yucca in relation to meat is practically negligible. But then again, it doesn't list the percentage of yucca does it? Nor does it state the "Calcium" percentage.
Cheers, Kim
