Ghia died of lymphoma two months ago on Aug. 21, 2009. She was a precious, special little girl that I didn't get nearly enough time with. Fierra and Ghia came to live with us in December 2007. After a short transition period Ghia let her true fluffy princess personality come out. She was definitely a momma's girl and followed at my heels constantly. She loved wrestling with my hands and with Frank, the stuffed opposum. She wasn't a dooker, but she would war dance about everything. One of her favorite things was to sneak up on me and then I would turn around and chase after her while she tumbled and backpedalled, head thrown back and mouth wide open. She was diagnosed with lymphoma in August and it was over pretty quickly. She died in my arms with my SO sitting next to us. This is a photo of her sleeping on my lap the day before she died. We miss her so much.

Oh my God! Luci! I had no idea! I am SO sorry about your loss. Lymphoma is absolutely horrible. Poor baby. While I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing, at least she was able to pass peacefully in your arms. You are in my thoughts and if there is anything you need, please don't hesitate to PM or call (my phone # is listed in the Mentor/Moddy subforum).

I couldn't bring myself to write up a little memorial for her until now. Truth be told I have to avoid this section of the forum because I get too emotional reading these. Today was a good day to cry.

I"m so sorry for your loss of your wee one. They always leave far too soon It was wonderful that you were with her when she passed on. I will light a candle to her memory. I'm sure that she's once again feeling whole and is doing her weasel war dances with the rest of the little ones who have gone before. Look for her in the shadows, listen for her on the wind and when you dream you will once again feel her kiss. Remember her as she was, before illness, that is how she is now. She will always bounce and war dance by you and when it's time you will once again be able to hold her and play dancing finger games once more. Goodbye little Ghia, goodbye ciao

I'm so sorry for your loss, they go downhill so fast when they are sick, cancer is so cruel. She went to the bridge knowing you cared about her so much and was lucky to have you holding her as she passed. RIP beautiful Ghia.
