For anyone who lives in South Florida, there's a rodent breeder in the Southwest Ranches area who provides mice, rats, rabbits, and chicks. He will deliver frozen, or you can go by his ranch and pick an order up to save on shipping (he won't ship live, so if you want that, you have to do a pick-up). His website is www.southfloridarodents.com. If you're in the area and interested in doing a group buy, PM me. I went to his farm to pick up my first order, and he gave me a tour of the facilities. He euthanizes with CO2, and vacuum seals the animals for shipping. The area looked and smelled very clean. He breeds for snake and bird of prey owners, and didn't realize that ferrets eat mice. In fact, when I told him the order was for my ferrets, he mentioned that he had a ferret of his own (a big, sweet boy named Flapjack), and went to get him. Once we had Flapjack, Jack pulled out a small mouse for him. Flapjack snatched the mouse away and IMMEDIATELY started gnawing on it. It seems that I made a new convert to whole prey feeding!
