My daughter Jamee and I had to beg my husband to let us get a ferret. He gave up and, well, since then Chaos has won husband's heart as we know fuzzies have a way of doing. So, now we are trying to talk him into letting us get Chaos a brother or sister. Yesterday, I let Chaos play in husband's 'man' room to butter him up . I think it worked because when I talked about getting another he didn't say 'no.' I explained how it wouldn't really cost more because we already have a fn2 cage and the raw meat will be bought in bulk anyway so we wouldn't see a cost rise in food. I explained that the only realized cost would be the vet bill and that would only be for distemper shots. I also tried the guilt trip about how much happier Chaos would be to have another to keep him company when we're gone, etc. The funny thing is that Chaos was exceptionally cute with lots of happy dances and goofy antics as if he was trying to talk husband into a friend, too. Keep your fingers crossed for us!!! I would really love to have a little dark (sable?).

I think once you get to a certain number, what's one or two more?

yep,
I remember back when I thought one was enough, then couldn't leave behind two oldsters needing a home, then couldn't bear the thought of four more being trapped in a cage and ignored.
Unfortunately two of my ferrets left me to get their wings, but another ferret has come my way and it seems that 6 is my lucky number!
Ferret math is definitely better than algebra!
Cheers, Kim
