Hello everyone, very pleased to now be a member of Holistic- I've been 'lurking' here for a while and was finally motivated to register. I have five ferrets who live on whole prey throughout the winter and frankenprey throughout summer [supplemented with whole]. They live outside most of the year, but come in when it gets too hot. Most of them are also working ferrets who toil to reduce the local rabbit population. They hunt from April to whenever-it-gets-to warm-usually mid August, but this year we are still going in October. They have their holidays during the summer. I have had ferrets for eight years and never miss an opportunity to discuss or read about them. I also forgot to capitalise the 'P' in my username whilst registering, which makes me much sadder than it should. I only hope that there is a way to change this... Anyway, Hello and I look forward to many weasel-related conversations.

Hi and welcome It's always great to find someone who has working ferts....mine are lazy little sods who are just snuggly little furfriends who help keep my mouse population in my house under control. We're not allowed to use our fuzzies to hunt over here, so it's a constant game to keep them stimulated. All except for my Napoleon are rescues but everyone hunts mice except for Captain Jack who thinks they're snugglies . I hope that you will be an active participant in discussions and share your knowledge. I'm looking forward to seeing you around ciao

Thankyou for the kind welcomes everyone. And a special thanks to Heather- I assume it was you who capitalised my 'P' Thankyou muchly, I can rest easily now, haha. It's a real shame that you guys can't work your fuzz- though I have heard of people doing so regardless of the law and sending their ferrets to flush out prairie dogs, packrats and cottontails. Mine get to be lazy throughout the summer but in winter they get kept as busy as possible, haha. I will definitely hang about and contribute when I can. ^^
