While many people in the US and Canada do not keep their ferrets outdoors (our weather usually is far too hot or far too cold), this is a very interesting post. I'm sure some of our European members could really use this info. I'm going to sticky this post. Thanks for sharing! Very interesting and the pictures are very helpful!

Wow! I am astounded by the work you've put into this. Great habitat! Do you have to worry about predators at all (birds of prey?)?

I'm fortunate that we don't have any predators that would be of any real concern. But young kits are not allowed out in the enclosure without supervision since they could potentially fall prey to a bird. And I do keep an eye on the wild life situation (and the neighbours cats ). The weak point in my enclosure is the lack of roof, obviously.
