Yes, red meat, liver, etc. makes for darker poops.
I think you'll find that if you give them pumpkin on organ days that the poops aren't as smelly and stinky. I also make sure to feed a bony meal on organ day to help even things out.
Go Tikki go!

Tikki is up to half teaspoon baby food-half teaspoon ground today! I'll keep this mix for now, it goes down okay but I don't want to rush her.
The kids get their organs tomorrow, I'll give them some pumpkin with it tomorrow and see how they take it.

Allrighty, pumpkin with organs was an "eh, okay, we'll eat it... if there's nothing else..." xD I need to look into getting one of those hand blenders for the kids organ days. I ran out of baby food this morning, and was considering my options (i could try giving Tikki the Stella and Chewy's again...) but I decided, eh, I'll give it a shot... and gave her plain ground chicken. For about a second she gave me a very weird look, then something clicked, and she started licking up the ground with a vengeance. Yes! Plain ground! I'll keep her on this for a little bit, and then start giving her tiny pieces of chicken breast and see how she takes it. I'm so happy though! I can't wait until they're all chowing down on meats together.

Woo! She's doing it!
I have a submersible hand blender that I use for organ soup day and it works great. It came with a beaker with measurement marks which is super keen for divvying it up. The fatty bits get wound around the shaft though, so I've been cutting those bits out or making sure they're cut up really small before I blend.

I scouted out a pretty decent hand blender for a decent price, so yay! I'll get it in the next few days, so I can use it on Sunday.
Tikki is eating her ground pretty good! She does try to hide it in her bed a bit, but I'm keeping up with her and taking away all the pieces she hid so they don't go bad. Still, she's eating most of the ground at one sitting, which is good.
Coco and Mis decided today that they didn't want to eat from a bowl, and proceeded to carry all of their beef chunks into the feeding den, and then put the bowl in the litter box, to make sure I knew that they didn't need it any more... xD
Rabbit is getting bought tomorrow, and my dad bought a whole bunch of chicken wings for the kids last week. Huge wings. I gave one giant wing to the kids on Saturday, and they managed to eat all of it, except for one bone. It was the bone that comes out from the shoulder, but it seriously looked big enough to be a thigh bone from a cornish hen, or bigger, maybe. And it must have been really hard to chew on, since they left it alone. x3
Here is also this weeks schedule:
Feeding Schedule: 5/25-5/30 Sun: AM: Organs + Pumpkin PM: EVO
Mon: AM: 2 Wings PM: Chicken Thigh Meat
Tuesday: AM: Beef PM: Pork
Wednesday: AM: 2 Chicken Wings PM: Chicken Thigh Meat
Thursday: AM: Beef PM: Pork
Friday: AM: 2 Wings PM: Chicken Thigh Meat
Saturday: AM: Chicken Wings/ or Rabbit Leg PM: EVO

All righty, pretty much the same over here. Coco and Mis are doing great, they had beef this morning, and pork for dinner. One of them, or maybe both, have taken to placing all the food they don't eat at once into their feeding den, leaving me an empty bowl as soon as an hour later to take away and clean. They're getting pretty consistent with it, as well! Two days ago they put all their beef in one corner, and yesterday they put all the chicken pieces they got into their den in about an hour (after chewing on it first, of course). I have a new scale, so of course I have to weight everything the kids are eating between 4-4.5 ounces a day now, although it does depend on the day. Anything more, though, and they're leaving meat sitting out for a long, long time. Now Tikki, she is getting just over an ounce of ground chicken in the morning, and the same at night. I was worrying that it might not be enough for her, but she actually doesn't finish all of it, although she's been leaving less of it behind each day. Between what I give her, and what she leaves behind, I can be pretty sure she's eating at least two ounces a day. She seems to enjoy taking her time while eating, and I'll catch her eating a little bit every now and then until she finishes. Good thing is, is that she's eating the ground chicken with no hesitation, and I'm starting to put small pieces of chicken in with the ground, and she's eating them as well. She's also using her feeding den, although I still find one or two pieces hidden around her bed occasionally. She's getting more and more used to the feeding den idea, though.

My girls eat about 2 ounces per day on average. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It sounds like she's figuring things out and I think her instincts will kick in.
Also I leave meat out for my girls for 12-24 hours without issue. They just love knowing that they have a stash whether or not they intend to eat it.

OOoookay, well, I might not be able to update quite so much in the next week. My great-aunt had been really sick for the past few weeks, and she just passed away yesterday. Tomorrow we have the wake and monday is the funeral, and I don't know just how much time I'd have...
I still have Tikki going on the ground; she ate less of it yesterday and today, and she seems to be looking for regular kibble when she's out and about (she gravitates towards areas where she had kibble stashed before)... If she still is snubbing most of it tomorrow, I'll start mixing a little bit of baby food into the ground again and see if that helps.
I'll try to update when I can.

Kids are doing good, today they got beef in the morning, they'll be getting pork at night.
Tikki got cut up chicken breast last night, she ate all of it, and she got more chicken this morning.... she ate some of it, we'll see how much she's eaten by the end of today. She's in a better mood today; I was taking her out of her cage, and she wagged her tail as she was coming out...

Just checking in: the kids schedule this week was as follows:
Feeding Schedule: 5/31-6/6 Sun: AM: Organs + Pumpkin PM: EVO Mon: AM: 2 Wings PM: Chicken Back Tuesday: AM: Beef PM: Pork Wednesday: AM: 2 Chicken Wings PM: Chicken Back Thursday: AM: Beef PM: Pork Friday: AM: 2 Chicken Wings PM: Chicken Back Saturday: AM: Nature's Variety Rabbit Formula PM: EVO
Next week will most likely be similar, although the second meat day will have veal instead of beef.
Yesterday I gave Tikki the very tips of the chicken wings along with her chicken meat (she was having thigh meat this week), about 1/4 inch in length, and she ate that. Last night I gave her some pieces off of the chicken back the kids had, where it was pieces of meat with a little bone on them, and she ate most of them, but she did leave any pieces of bone larger than 1/4 inch.
This morning I gave her some of the NV Rabbit with her chicken meat, and she ate that, so I'm taking that as a good sign. :3 Tomorrow when I make the kids their organ meal I'm going to put extra in and see if Tikki will eat any of it (I'm hoping she will).
All for now. :3 Hope everything is going good with you.

On the days you're feeding chicken wings and backs... that seems like an awful lot of bone at once. Is there a lot of meat on them. Don't want the darlings getting constipated!
