Hocus squirms so terribly while I'm trying to rub the drop in his ear that tonight I got fed up and just touched it to the side of his mouth. He hates the taste, so immediately afterward I offered him a treat. He made the "KACK" noise, looked at the treat, looked at me, and went straight to the back corner of their playplace and peed. While staring me right in the eye.
Guess we'll go back to wrestling for his ear.

LOL! I tried that with Ollie and he actually liked it! He came over for more. So I have been doing that and the ear, back and forth.

Ahhh, we have a little alcoholic in our midst Most Bach remedies are preserved with alcohol ciao Yes, he got more today from the dropper and then wanted more! Great! I have an old drunk for a ferret! Do you think it would work on Koda? He keeps trying to dominate Ollie. I scruff and tell him no, but I keep catching him do it.

I am not sure about the whole "sexual tendenices". What signs would that be?

When he scruffs another ferret, he'd do so from behind in a mating position.

He will also go through the straddle and pelvic thrusts too...yes I have an adrenal ferret Sometimes, it's very violent and can result in a lot of screaming. Normal dominance scruffing is similar but it's not as aggressive or as persistent. Ferrets also mount in play too. ciao

ummm.... I don't know which it is. Koda isn't showing signs of adrenal (no hair loss, or anything like that) and it only seems to be Ollie that is is trying to dominate, like I wrote earlier the others bite back!

I wouldn't worry about it then It sounds like a domination thing to me. Captain Jack would try and dominate Napoleon...at first I was a little worried but then when watching them I realized that Napoleon was his only target and it usually became a game of wrestle and play. Adrenal ferrets usually don't really care who they use for their affections, in fact Max and the watering can were very friendly today ciao

Just as a fun follow-up... Rubbing the RR on Hocus's pawpads is much easier. However, no matter where it ends up, as soon as I set him down Pocus pounces on him and proceeds to lick off as much as he can. He loves it.
Sigh.

I have the pet version of Bach's RR that is in glycerine, not alcohol. Is that not easy to find?

My version doesn't have alcohol either but I'm not sure how easy it is to find. ciao
