Looks like I may be mostly afk longer than I originally planned. Our house has pretty much sold - all that is left is to sign the papers at closing barring no issues with the buyers' loan. So, instead of moving back to our house, we'll be moving into a storage shed and staying with my dad. He has 2 JRT's (1m/1f) that he suspects to be dog aggressive. And he's allergic to cats. BUT he's single and has a huge house with a huge yard and a pool! 
The bad news is, we have to drop the cat off at my brother's so he can kitty-sit, and the ferrets will have to remain at my aunt's. The dogs will have to be muzzled most of the time, and crated a lot. I do plan to try and introduce the dogs eventually and see how it goes - without my dad or anyone else knowing, LOL. The good news is that I will get to SEE my fuzzies! And we have a place to stay rent-free where we can stash $$ for a new house. We've got our eye on one, so we'll see what happens! ANyhoo, just thought I'd let ya'll know why you won't be seeing much of me for awhile! It sucks, I know I'm missing the growth of the board and stuff! ARGH. Hopefully once we get settled into my dad's I'll have some time. I'm still packing now - my deadline is tomorrow, then Wed I have to start cleaning the carpets and such. Thursday I make the 8 hour round trip to Phoenix to get my moving truck. Friday we load. We'll leave in the middle of the night and drive to Elephant Butte, NM, where we'll spend the remainder of the day and night with a friend we've never met, LOL (we play wow, used to play eve, he and hubby are really good friends, even though they've never met face to face lol). We plan on being back in Houston by late evening-ish on Sunday. Then Monday we unload, return the truck Tues, blahblahblah....I rambling now. I'm tired! 
Anyhoo, I'll talk to ya'll later! I probably won't be on for at least the next week, but I'll be back asap!

- on Monday morning. We're semi-settled in to my dad's house, where we'll be staying until we find a house to buy. We've looked at a few, and are still looking. The dogs have adjusted better than I thought they would being segregated - my dad's house is big enough with enough rooms where I don't have to keep them crated ALL the time. Buster, my pit bull, will not stay out of my dad's swimming pool. If I jump in, he jumps in. If I let him outside to pee, he jumps in. Fortunately he's a fast learner and already knows A) where the steps are and B) he's learned that when I say "Get Out" he's to go to the steps. So he swims laps with me
