This girl on another forum is interested in feeding wysong exclusively to her 6 ferrets, 3 girls and 3 boys. I just realized a bit ago that if the food is reconsituted it comes out to be more in the bag then it says. So if reconstiuted and if dry and say she buys it from Casey's Hidden Pantry how much should she expect her ferrets to eat per month?
If dry I estimated it would cost $900 a month not including shipping. 6 ferrets eating roughly 2.5 oz a day x 6 would be an entire bag of wysong a day correct? Now what if she fed it wet?

If a pack of Wysong's is $15 for 7 1/2 oz. dry weight, let's say 3-4 times that with reconstitution. So, minimum 22.5 oz per pack, maximum 30oz. Average 4 oz per day per ferret. So, 24 oz a day. By that reckoning, it would take 24- 32 packs per month. At a cost of $15 per pack, it would be $360- $450 per month. And that's if it only reconstitutes to a maximum of 30 oz.

Thanks Sherry. That is surely cheaper than the $900 a month is would cost if she fed it dry.
