As some of you one here may know, one year later, I still sometimes have trouble getting my business to try anything new . They love their mice, but haven't had any other whole prey before. I gave them some day old chicks(f/t) this morning. Oh my gods! The hissing, growling, barking! It was unbelievable! The chicks were gone in less than 10 minutes We're trying rabbit tonight. Sectioned up, because there are three cages. It's so funny watching them try to figure out what to do about all that fur! Boris, of all ferrets, immediately grabbed the head and ran off with it. Willow has a haunch. The rest are just kind of sniffing it, and looking at me I'm so glad I've gotten hubby to agree to let them have some for their regular meals. I just have to let him know, and he leaves the room

I've seen the video That's awesome that they liked chicks! I wish mine were more open to new things My boyfriend is the same way about whole prey. He loves feeding them commercial raw, and is even up to feeding frankenprey or ground, but REFUSES to feed whole prey (unless ground of course ) Guys are silly, but we love them anyways

Isn't it funny how different people react? I just had two people over that had never met my ferrets before, so when the boys went to the cage for bedtime I mentioned that there was a frozen mice dinner in there waiting. They (the people) thought it was interesting and actually wanted to watch! You never know if someone'll think it's neat, or run screaming.
Chicks are also very popular in my house. I'm thinking of ordering in a few dozen live ones from the feed store...

Check out the Canadian Cricket Company. I don't know if he has distributors in the east or not, but he may know someone who does! www.canadiancricketcompany.com/index.htmlThey've now added the rabbits, gerbils, and chicks!
