Yeah!!!!! Im so happy to hear that!!! Your ferrets must/should be eating bone without too many issues, they should be eating at least 3 different types of meats....and thats pretty much the basis for graduating You will have to make up a daily (rough) schedule of what they will be eating on a weekly basis (for example, just make a mon-sun diet schedule of what meats they will be eating on each day, and incule one day that is an organ day and at least 3 days should include bone-in meat) Example schedule: Mon: beef Tues: chicken wings (bone-in meat) wed: pork thurs: chicken or turkey necks (bone-in) fri: duck sat: cornish game hen (bone-in) sun: organ day (hearts and liver), with some turkey chunks as well Then after you have posted your diet sched. on here then I will have Giuli (the administrator) look it over and confirm it, then you will be graduated!!!!

Just popping in....I'm now the one you have to play to to graduate Im sorry that you've been on a sort of hold pattern. Giuli has been really busy with some sick furkids and lots of work. You will have to bear with me while I figure out the technical parts to move you into the graduate files Do you feed any heart at all, or supplement with taurine?? I think your diet looks great except for that small oversight. You've covered the 3 protein requirements, you've covered the bone dpt...looks great. My only concern is covering your furkids taurine requirements. Taurine is in all raw meats but ferrets like cats require a bit more. This is more to cover what ever losses are incurred by freezing or storing the meats. Get back to me on that and you're good to go ciao

Sorry to get back late but ive also been busy with the first week of school starting and blah blah blah. anyways.. Yes, i do feed hearts but only chicken heart. Their sources of taurine are manly salmon and shrimp. Ofcourse the menu was only an example for one week.

Everything looks to be in order here. Now that you've completed the switch and had your feeding schedule reviewed, its time for you to officially graduate from the HF Mentor program and for us to retire this thread to the "newbie switch archive"! No one (yourself included) will be able to post in this thread anymore once its been moved to the archive. Please begin posting your diet-related questions in the "whole prey" "raw" or "general feeding questions and discussion" area. We encourage EVERYONE that is archived to continue posting. Feeding a natural diet is a learning PROCESS, there is much to learn after making the switch. There is always lots to learn, and lots to share with the newbies on the site. If you feel comfortable offering the newbies advice, then by all means go ahead. The more help we can get, the better. If you'd rather lurk and not post, thats cool too, its just always nice to have our graduates stick around. We (your mentor and I) will run a detailed "check up" with you (via PM or email) at the 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 1 year anniversary since "going natural" just to make sure all is going well and that you arent having any issues. Congrats on all your hard work and on your graduation!!!

Congratulations, great job. You've done it. Your mentor, Cristina will be popping in to congratulate you herself as soon as she gets the message that you've finally been posted to graduate. Excellent!!! Good luck ciao
