Hey everyone! Ive been browsing this forum to learn more about raw diets and i am very excited to get started. My name is Tiffany and my ferrets name is Boo ( named by my boyfriend, i originally wanted to name him Rue )and hes about 3 months and a Marshall's ferret. Currently hes eating Marshalls food, which i understand is not even a good kibble. Fortunately, hes been eating chicken babyfood and even raw chicken breast. Between my boyfriend and I, we have 18 snakes (ball pythons), 2 prairie dogs, 1 Chahoua gecko, and 2 dogs (shih tzu and a yorkie/brussel mix. We are huge animal lovers, except the boyfriend is still getting used to ferrets--hes still hung up on Boo's smell. Anyway, heres a pic of Boo his first day home

Awww. He's a sweetie! And at his age, getting him onto raw shouldn't be too much trouble. Check out the diet section, and the switching threads. That'll give you a better idea of how you'd like to go about it! Here are some links to help you out: If you are new to natural feeding, here are some links to help you navigate the site: Post all questions about natural ferret diet here: holisticferret.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=newbquestWhen you are ready to make the switch to a natural diet, fill out one of these forms: holisticferret.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=newbie&action=display&thread=822and start a thread in this section (copy/paste the filled out form into your first post): holisticferret.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=newbiePost all questions/updates on the progress of your ferret's diet switch in that one thread. After making your initial post we will help you start the switch and we will assign you a "Holistic Ferret Mentor" to assist you and monitor your progress.

Hi and welcome to the forum You will find it a fanstastic source of information filled with friendly people who are more than willing to lend a helping hand. If you're looking forward to starting to feed your little Boo a more natural diet check out the nutritional section of the forum. Sherrylynne has posted the key sections for your to browse. If you're looking for a mentor, there is a list that you can sign up on. Right now we're in the process of restructuring so that we can better assist you in that dept but we're hoping to be up and running again shortly. So, if you think you would like to work on a one on one basis with a knowledgeable mentor sign up and we will be with you shortly Read through some of the mentor threads and see what method you might like to try. Your little Boo is very young so should get the hang of eating a raw diet without much difficulty. ciao
