My name is melissa and I currently reside in TN. I will be in the market for a fuzzie of my own in a couple months and have been doing a lot of research, crafting, and buying stuff for my future baby. Hope to gain a lot of info concerning raw diets as a friend from another forum referred me here. ;D Hope I don't drive anyone too crazy with my questions!

That would be me I am sure you will pick up a ton of useful info on natural care for your future ferret here. Being a member of the ferret.com forum is great as well, you will pick up TONS of info there as well. I encourage you to utilize both forums and amass as much info as possible.

Ask as many questions as you want! We need people to start making posts if the forum will grow. You wont be bothering anyone, in fact you will be helping this forum AND yourself by asking questions, so ask away!

That is an excellent book. If you look in the nutrition section you will actually see a section about raw diets Kim Schilling did a FABULOUS job writing that book.

Welcome! That's so cool that you're doing your research first! If more people would do that, there's be less need for rescues! I did the same thing (only because I was made to wait, though, lol I'm a very sporadic person), and it made it SO much easier!

What kind of crafting, if you don't mind my asking? I love making stuff for my critters!

I've been trying the no sew stuff. Its fun..it can be hard at times, but I've been coming up with my own stuff. Hopefully it will hold up lol if not its not costly for me. I pay like 4.44 for one yard of fleece.

and yes I am a very impatient person lol so i've been reading, researching, and buying..I know I'll have my complete set up weeks before I get my fuzzy.

When do you plan to get your fuzzy, and have you though about if you want a boy or a girl? Names? Etc?

well we're going for vacation for a week in june..then in July my two oldest daughters will be gone for 3 weeks with my parents and my hubby is going to some military training for the whole month of July so I'm looking at the end of July/first week of Aug. time frame.

We're talking about starting out with one and then later on(probably a month or two) getting another. If I do wind up getting lucky and coming across a pair on craigslist or on kjjjj. then that would also be fine.

Now for names lol if I start off with kits I'm thinking Lemon and Lime since the names are soo versatile for a male and female or same sex pairs. I'm just so excited about it all! ;D
