Hello All!
We share our home with two ferrets, one about 6 months and the other about 8 or 9 months old, both females, both Marshall's, the first one came to live with us in February. We may be taking in a ferret of some friends who can't give him the attention he needs right now, that is still not finalized.
It has been an interesting experience and I am still learning about ferrets which is why I am here. I do want to provide them with the best possible care all around, including of course diet. Currently they eat a kibble mix. The younger one will accept chicken gizzards but basically turns up her nose to chicken liver, I think she might have tried it but will not take it from my fingers like she does the gizzards. The older one is not interested in anything other than their kibble, soup I make from the kibble and occasional packaged treats. Of course they both like Ferretone, etc.
I will be reading the posts looking for ideas about how to transition them to a better diet. I appreciate everyone's input and knowledge.
All the best!
TonyS

Hi and welcome to you and your little fuzzies. Careful ferret math is a very sneaky phenomena that seems to grab you when you least expect it Ferrets are rather like potato chips you can rarely stop at one. All kidding aside, please feel free to prowl the sites, check out the various sections, read threads and please ask questions. People here are very friendly and are always willing to lend a hand or paw You may want to pay particular attention to the nutritional section. We also have a mentoring program that allows you to work one on one with a knowledgeable mentor to assist you in switching your little furbabies. I hope that I will be seeing you around , ciao
