Hi everyone, my names Roxanne and im from British Columbia, Vancouver. I just recently found out about this forum site and love it so far! excellent way to interact with those who also have ferrets and it seemingly provides excellent advice! Im only 16, but i have a tremendous love for ALL animals, well.. almost all (spiders and snakes, EEK!!) I volunteer at my local SPCA shelter and im not exactly the apparent "type" to do so but my animal loving half gets to me most and im definitly not ashamed of it! Just yesterday a got my new ferret, thats 2 months of age named Koda, hes very cute but does a lot of nipping either way i love him, and id also love to get to know all of you ferret lovers as well!! Feel free to PM me and such because im really open and would love to get to know anyone and everyone.. Thanks!!

Its great to have you here! If you have any questions at all feel free to post them in the appropriate section (dont worry, if you post in the wrong spot we can always move the post to the right area). This way you'll be able to get tons of advice from other ferret owners. on the new baby!

Welcome on board ;D Congratulations on your new furbaby. Your little one probably hasn't been taught any manners yet. Give him lots of love and something real (like meat) to sink his teeth into instead of you and you will have a most loving mischievous little bundle of trouble. Good luck and ask questions, there's a huge amount of knowledge here. Ciao

Hello I am brand new here as well. Congrats on your little man! I am jealos I want a boy ferret so bad but every time we have the cash either there isn't a boy at any of our pet stores or something comes up like this months $147 vet bill for Rolo's Colostridium infection. I say you little one wants to play with you. as when they are playing with their litter mates they will sqeek to let the other ferret know when they have bitten do hard. See I'm sure you know ferrets have very tough skin and when they bite you they don't know it hurts. So just be patient with the little guy. For some reason my Loki bear bites everyones ankles but mine. I suspect this is because I give her the most attention so she doesn't feel like she needs to bite me for me to play with her. I hope this helps. Jessica P.S If you got him a playmate he might be more focused on him/her than nipping you
