Soooooooo I got some frozen mice and am about (camera in hand) to let Falkor out in the playpen with one I am very squimish about this... oh the things we do for our fuzz butts

Falkor wasn't interested.... Dad will play with him when he gets home to see if it gets him interested. I have a feeling Falkor isn't going to do frozen either but might do live!

Falkor wasn't interested.... Dad will play with him when he gets home to see if it gets him interested. I have a feeling Falkor isn't going to do frozen either but might do live! You could try tying the frozen mouse with a string and drag it around. I did this with Jayla a few times,she love to chase and catch it. She would shake it and chew on it.

I wish mine would have gone for it that way! I had to start by chopping the pinkies up and mix it with their regular food

That's how all three of my guys got started. It was alot of fun running thru the house with Jayla chasing it. I'd let her catch it and she'd shake the heck out of it,chew it. When she'd lose interest,I'd be off and running

theys story are amazing i havent tryed mice yet but im going to i have a big heart and probley cry if my fuzzbutts killed sank so i dont think i could do that just trying a dead 1 is a new thing to me so how nutritious is mice for ferrets. keelyxx

It's the ideal meal all in one neat little package! Everything they need in perfect proportion. If you can't bring yourself to feed whole prey, that's ok, though! They do fine on frankenprey. And let's face it- raw is far, far better than kibbles!
