OK, I don't cook very much, so I'm not used to handling raw meat...
I froze it all as soon as I got home instead of portioning it first. *smacks self in the head* I know with people, it's bad to refreeze meat once it's thawed. Is that also bad for ferrets? I can't get the darn stuff apart now!

I do it once in a while, accidentally. It's not a huge deal (bacteria buildup isn't as big a problem for ferrets as for humans!)

How long will it be good for ferrets in the refrigerator?

I wouldn't leave it out in the fridge more than a day or so, because it'll get stinky - more of an issue for you than for the ferrets, though Let the accidentally frozen stuff thaw just enough so that you can break it apart and portion it off to refreeze. For five kids, I generally use quart-size freezer bags and several ounces of meat per bag. Morgan eats as much as the other four combined, some days, so I generally overshoot portions, and uneaten stuff gets used next day.
