Hi, Chaos is my 14 week old ferret. He is my first ferret ever and I have been reading all I can to provide the best care for him. I found the link to this site from another forum and have found this whole concept of raw/natural care fascinating. I have been lurking for a while and have some questions so thought I would join! At this very moment, I cannot say that I am completely sold on the whole raw thing, but I really want to do what's best for Chaos so I'll keep reading and asking questions. Can't wait for the website!!!

We are thrilled to have you here! Hopefully you will be able to find a wealth of info on our site. Also, the yahoo! group "NaturalFerrets" is a full of excellent archived and current info. I encourage you to check them out as well. Here you can find a variety of links that address natural diet/care for animals: holisticferret.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=talking&action=display&thread=93And even if you aren't 100% sold on a raw or whole prey diet, there are still many things you can do (beyond diet) to enhance the health of chaos in a natural, genlter way. Hope you like it here! If you have any questions feel free to private message me or one of the people that have the title "Holistic Ferret Mentor" under their user name.

Giuli-thanks for the links. I hope you realize that I am not against raw/whole prey feeding...just new to it and am reading with an open mind...just want to do what's best for Chaos and have come to realize that that doesn't necessarily mean the "popular" way.
Thanks for the welcome!

Oh not, I didnt think you were against natural diets at all. If you were lol you might be a bit "out of place" on here I remember what it was like when I was learning the ropes. I hope you find useful info and I hope you enjoy it here as well!

Hi and welcome to you and Chaos Have to love the name The easiest way to feel comfortable is to ask questions...lots of them. I was where you are sitting now over 10 yrs ago. I've mentored more than a few, managed to convince even my vet lol. The easiest way, is to ask questions, usually people have key stumbling blocks...things that really trouble them about feeding a natural diet. All my furbabies eat raw or natural diet. Looking forward to hearing from you. Ciao

Welcome! Is Chaos champagne or silver? He's adorable! If you haven't already, pick up the Ferret for Dummies book. I am new to raw/whole prey, but I am learning too. =)
