I working in a grooming salon/ dog day care and we sale a small selection of holistic kibble and raw for dogs and cats. One of our distributors came in this week and gave me a free sample of Aunt Jeni's cat/ferret raw diet. Right now we don't carry it, but my boss is going to start and just made an order for our first shipment so we can carry both the dog and cat/ferret diets. Has anyone heard of these products? The cat/ferret diets have more veggies/fruit than NV raw, but it still looks good. The free sample I got was one pound of the turkey variety, and after and squirt of ferrettone, my ferrets gobbled it up. Even the cat ate a few bites. What I like most is that it actually says "FERRET" on the label... of a raw diet... that contains meat! What a concept, eh? www.auntjeni.com/html/news___announcements.html

The only thing I don't like about it is the addition of all those veg. But since you can't always get away from them with premade commercial, it doesn't look too bad. At least the bulk of ingredients are animal based.

Thanks for your comment SherryLynne. I don't like all of the veggies either, but if it is cheaper than NV raw at my work, I would love to throw it into their diet every once in a while, especially since they have turkey and goat, which NV doesn't. I can't get goat at my local grocery store of choice, so that would be great to add to their diet on occasion.
