My ferrets will eat pinky mice or rats fine, but with the bigger ones most of the rodent gets wasted.

Hi. Have you tried very gradually getting bigger? will they eat peachies(when they first start to get hair, just very little hair) and gradually moving up? them *may* accept those.

Hi there You may have to open up the mouse....what size are you trying next? What parts are they leaving? If they will eat pinkies, have you tried hoppers or are you going straight to the larger versions. I found that my guys sometimes took longer eating the larger mice and especially rats you sort of have to leave the carcasses with them otherwise they just munch the parts they want and stash it. I found that they would go back to it if you left the "body" stashed. ciao

i had fed them my pet hamster my rat killed they ate mostof it but left the middle of the body. pinkies and peachies they eat with no problem, except my dumb ferret oreo, she acts dumb because its cute, but really she is very smart.

As disturbing as it may sound, when I started mine with the fully furred adult mice, I had to cut them open, and squirted ferretone into the opening. It didn't take long for them to realize there was food inside that furry coating
